January Book Review

Welcome back to our monthly book review. This is the post where I share the books I read last month, rate them and share the jacket summary. I hope you are able to find a few new books to add to your reading list! However.... This month was a struggle for me. On average I read about 4-5 books a month. If I don't like a book, or can't get into it, I stop reading. Life is too short to read a book that doesn't hold my interest. That happened more this month than ANY month, in the last 3 years where I have been tracking what I read. I must have started and stopped 4 books. I just couldn't not get past the first couple chapters. It was a struggle for sure. This month, I read a series on Kindle Unlimited that I will only count as 1 book. I'll explain more below. What's Up Wednesday - 11/29/2023

In my quest to blog more frequently, I am linking up with Shay and Sheaffer on the last Wednesday of the month. Make sure you check out their blogs as well. I have been reading both of them for years and they are 2 of my favorites. I love reading blogs and to me it's an escape from reality. It's like talking to a girlfriend and taking a sneak peek into their lives, closet and home. I have always wanted to blog. I typically wrote a post every 6 months so right now I am pretty horrible, and no one reads. But, in 2024 my goal is consistency. Stay tuned, maybe someday you will be saying my blog is your favorite. That would be music to my ears! Here is what we have been up to lately. 1. Motivational Monday - 4/29/2024

Throw stuff out Organize it Put it away ..... Whatever you need to do. A cluttered house, clutters your mind and it's hard to relax. Do a little something every day. This also applies to work. Take a look at your desk. Do you have files everywhere? Post it's? Old family pictures? Now go look at your managers desk (or the person that has the job you are working towards). Does it look the same? Take 10 minutes to really look at the post its you have around your monitor. Do you still look at them? If not throw it out. If you still think you need them - combine to one sheet and post on your wall or add to OneNote. After a while your mind doesn't see/read them because they are so used to them. Look at old family pictures... Can you take some home and update with a couple current ones? Can you create a calendar in Shutterfly or Walgreens to display monthly pictures there? This would allow you to have less family pic...
