Let's Look - WHAT'S IN OUR GROCERY CART

HI!  If you are popping over for the link party, welcome!  I am a corporate Mom of 2 kiddos. This space of internet is where I share tips and tricks on how I work on balancing both aspects of my life, while still making time for fun!  Feel free to bookmark so you can check back every Monday and Wednesday.

This month our "Let's Look" is grocery carts.  I almost skipped this month because I HATE grocery shopping.  This is a role my husband has thankfully taken on and he enjoys it.  I go so infrequently that I never know where anything is in the store.  I am the person people hate because I have to stop and read the signs above the aisle to see where I am going.  It is usually more expensive if I do have to go.  Since I don't go often, when I do, I notice new flavors, new products, etc!  I always come home with more than I had on my list.  So, it's a vicious cycle!

I didn't skip this post because I wanted to share something that has saved us a TON of time in grocery shopping.  WALMART+  This is not a sponsored post and there are no affiliate links, Walmart doesn't know I exists.  But this is an honest opinion about this service and how is has helped our grocery shopping.

1.  We grow a shopping list throughout the week in the app.  You need $35 for delivery which is easy to get to with a family of 4.

2.  The app keeps track of your frequent purchases, so you don't have to search if you buy same staples every week.

3.  They do run specials on the service.  We got a deal that was $50 for the year.  This deal came out right before Christmas.  The normal price is $12.95/Month of $98 Annually.  I love it so much I would buy this service at $98 a year.  They offer a 30 day trail that I would recommend.  30 days is a good about of time to be able to test the service 2-3 times.

4.  The service also comes with gas discounts and Paramout+

Things to note:

- We don't buy meat through Walmart+, we do a 1/4 cow every 6 months

- We use Costco and BJ's for bulk paper products

If you haven't tried Walmart+ I would highly recommend!

See you back on Monday!

December Book Review.... AND full list from 2023

Welcome to my favorite post of the month - BOOK REVIEW!   Going forward this post will be the first Wednesday of the month.  This month was different because of the word of the year post last week.  In December I technically read 5 books.  However, the books in the Asheville series were short and quick reads.  Honestly, they could have been combined to make one long book.  So, without any more chatter, below are the books I read in December. Hissy Fit by Mary Kay Andrews My Rating: 3.5 / 5 Back of book: The night before her wedding, in the middle of an oh-so-smart rehearsal dinner, interior decorator Keeley Murdock chances upon her fiancĂ© and maid of honor in flaming flagrante delicto. Keeley throws the hissy fit to end all hissy fits, storms out and earns herself instant notoriety in her tiny hometown of Madison, GA. The next day, though, she has to deal not only with a broken engagement but also with her business being shut out by folks in a t...

January Book Review

Welcome back to our monthly book review. This is the post where I share the books I read last month, rate them and share the jacket summary.  I hope you are able to find a few new books to add to your reading list! However.... This month was a struggle for me.  On average I read about 4-5 books a month.  If I don't like a book, or can't get into it, I stop reading.  Life is too short to read a book that doesn't hold my interest.  That happened more this month than ANY month, in the last 3 years where I have been tracking what I read.  I must have started and stopped 4 books. I just couldn't not get past the first couple chapters.  It was a struggle for sure.   This month, I read a series on Kindle Unlimited that I will only count as 1 book.   I'll explain more below.   The Christmas Retreat By Grace Meyers   My rating: 4/5 My comments:  This was a 6 book series.  The books were about 70 pages long....
