WHATS UP WEDNESDAY - 3/27/24

What a month! The weather has been crazy, snow and 60's!  I wish Mother Nature would make up her mind and stick to it!  But I think we are on the upswing and getting warming.  Bring on the sun and flip flops!

Let's dive in!

1. WHAT AM I LOVING?

If you know me for a while you know I don't listen or watch the news.  However, I recently found Yodel on Yahoo! It's perfect for me. It's emailed to be every morning at 8:30 with the top few headlines and a few bullets underneath to summarize what I need to know.  It's the perfect quick read!  Check it out: Yodel

What else I am loving is Girl Scout cookies!  They arrived and I loved watching her organize them all and bag them with people's names.  We are off to deliver this week!  Support your Girl Scouts whenever you can!

If you needed more motivation.... here is wine paring with your Girl Scout cookies!

2.  WHAT WE HAVE BEEN UP TO

Miss Curly and I did an Easter craft!  Super easy and cute.   All you need is a Dollar Store plastic bunny, brown spray paint and a paint marker.  You can also tie a ribbon around the neck but I was lazy.

Spray paint the bunny

Once dry put it together and use the paint marker to highlight the eyes and nose.  They look like chocolate bunnies now!

3.  WHAT AM I DREADING?

Nothing!

4.  WHAT AM I LISTENING TO?

I am still hooked on the Do It Scared Podcast by Ruth Soukup.  I listen whenever I am in the car.  I find it incredibly motivating!

5.  WHAT AM I EXCITED ABOUT?

Everything.  Lots of fun things coming up in the coming months!  Stay tuned!

Have a great week and don't forget to stop back on Monday for Monday Motivation!

50+ Word of the Year Ideas

Happy New Year! I hope you are starting the new year rejuvenated from the holidays!  I am so glad you are here and joining me on this corner of the internet.  Welcome! I love the start of a New Year.  It's a fresh start, clean slate and a chance to take a look at the year ahead.   In the last post , I talked about how I don't make New Years Resolutions.  Instead, I decide on a WORD.  I think of what I want the year to look like. How I want to shape decisions and what I want to accomplish.   This year I chose....... I want to be more consistent in many aspects of my life.  I am printing this image and putting it on my desk at work and next to my bed.   Have you thought of a word?   If you want to do a word of the year instead of a resolution, I compiled over 50+ words and definitions for you!  Take a look below to help you think of what you want this year to look like/focus on.  You can always pick one for yo...

December Book Review.... AND full list from 2023

Welcome to my favorite post of the month - BOOK REVIEW!   Going forward this post will be the first Wednesday of the month.  This month was different because of the word of the year post last week.  In December I technically read 5 books.  However, the books in the Asheville series were short and quick reads.  Honestly, they could have been combined to make one long book.  So, without any more chatter, below are the books I read in December. Hissy Fit by Mary Kay Andrews My Rating: 3.5 / 5 Back of book: The night before her wedding, in the middle of an oh-so-smart rehearsal dinner, interior decorator Keeley Murdock chances upon her fiancĂ© and maid of honor in flaming flagrante delicto. Keeley throws the hissy fit to end all hissy fits, storms out and earns herself instant notoriety in her tiny hometown of Madison, GA. The next day, though, she has to deal not only with a broken engagement but also with her business being shut out by folks in a t...

January Book Review

Welcome back to our monthly book review. This is the post where I share the books I read last month, rate them and share the jacket summary.  I hope you are able to find a few new books to add to your reading list! However.... This month was a struggle for me.  On average I read about 4-5 books a month.  If I don't like a book, or can't get into it, I stop reading.  Life is too short to read a book that doesn't hold my interest.  That happened more this month than ANY month, in the last 3 years where I have been tracking what I read.  I must have started and stopped 4 books. I just couldn't not get past the first couple chapters.  It was a struggle for sure.   This month, I read a series on Kindle Unlimited that I will only count as 1 book.   I'll explain more below.   The Christmas Retreat By Grace Meyers   My rating: 4/5 My comments:  This was a 6 book series.  The books were about 70 pages long....
